About Le Chameau

Claude Chamot, an agricultural engineer and avid outdoorsmen, created his first natural rubber boot in 1927. Claude's Chasseur boots grew in popularity as more people in need of the best rubber boots discovered their unbeatable quality and the distinct advantages of natural rubber.

Working from his headquarters in Pont d' Ouilly in Northwestern France, Claude Chamot established Le Chameau's legacy as Europe's finest maker of rubber boots. Built on tradition but perpetually open to new technologies and boot-making methods, Le Chameau maintains its position as an industry leader by paying close attention to detail, adopting innovations and materials that improve its products, and referencing lasting lessons from the company's 80 years of experience.

Hand made in Normandy, France, Le Chameau rubber boots are sold in more than 25 countries throughout the world.
